Palm Sunday

"Arrival" seems to be a recent theme for our family.  We arrived in Australia two months ago. Our boxes finally arrived this week from the USA (we shipped them 3 months ago!). Today we celebrate the arrival of our daughter Olive 4 months ago (today is her four month birthday!). And today we also remember passion week and remember when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. As I have been excited and have waited in anticipation for the arrival of Olive, Australia and our boxes, I pray that I would be even more excited about Jesus's arrival. And as I reflect on these words in Zechariah 9:9, "Behold, your King is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey." This reminds me of an even greater arrival. Thank you God for sending your son to a broken and sinful people who are desperately in need of a Savior.
